This striking pearl necklace is crafted from hand-selected large peacock black baroque pearls. These large freshwater pearls were selected for their unique shapes, high luster and rare surface orient. Their irregular shapes are similar to baroque-shaped Tahitian pearls, and no two are exactly alike. The pearls were treated to create stunning multicolored peacock colors that exhibit an intense rainbow of aubergine, green, blue and metallic copper-like tones (although they are often referred to as black pearls, they are not jet black). The pearls are very large for real cultured pearls; widths are 10-11mm and lengths range from 13mm to over 18mm. The pearls are hand knotted on black thread and finished with a premium polished sterling silver clasp. Due to the rarity of these pearls, quantities are limited.
