The ArtistMarjorie Baer’s career began on the steps of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in the late 1960s. It was there that the recent Berkeley grad displayed her first group of handcrafted necklaces, bracelets and earrings--the pioneering pieces that would lay the groundwork for 28 years of collections. Marjorie’s jewelry reflects both her life-long love of hands-on creativity and her training as a craftsperson. Inspiration comes from art, travel, and staying tuned-in to what modern women want. After working out the design of each piece, the metals are hammered, soldered and finished by her skilled team in San Francisco. The CollectionMarjorie Baer jewelry is made by a team of more than 20 skilled craftspeople. Marjorie designs each piece and one design can have as many as 6 pieces of metal used within the design. Each step is done domestically, something many companies have moved overseas.
