It has a vented lid that gently rests on top of the bin. Lid features a disposable charcoal filter to absorb odors. The inner bucket removes easily for disposing of food scraps. Bucket has drafted shape which makes allows food scraps to slide out without mess or hassle. A plastic bag can be placed inside the bucket as a liner if preferred.
