Crystal Quest CQE-WH-01127 Dual Tank Water Softener and Whole House Filter System - 1.5 cu.ft.: Home Improvement. * 3/4 inch or 1 inch Stainless Steel Bypass Valve. Dual Tank Water Softener and a Whole House Filter System with Automatic Backwash. Will remove calcium and hardness and soften water. Crystal Quest Water Softener uses traditional salt or potassium for regeneration. A Fleck control valve will backwash the system for improved performance. Water travels through 6 stages of filtration: * First stage, water flows through a 20 inch sediment cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also extends the life of water softeners and water filters, and prevents damage to control valves. * Second stage, water flows through an ion exchange mineral tank and brine water conditioner. * Third, Fourth and Fifth Stage: water flows through a patented Eagle Redox ( KDF ) media ERA-9500, ERA-6500, and a GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) mineral tank which removes hundreds of contaminations. * Sixth stage water flows through a 20 inch solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's), insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents.
