Product Description
Hanna Instruments HI 83141 Portable Analog pH/ORP Meter: Industrial & Scientific. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including a pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, an electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and a replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. The HI 83141 handheld meter for measuring pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and temperature comes with a replaceable HI 1230B pH electrode and the HI 7669AW temperature probe, and can be manually calibrated to one or two points for custom precision calibration. The meter features a large LCD screen for readability, ergonomically designed casing, and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) to eliminate the need for additional calculations. The HI 1230B PEI body pH electrode comes with BNC connector and 1 m (3.3′) cable. The HI 7669AW temperature probe can be replaced to prolong the life of the meter. The ORP probe must be purchased separately. The HI 83141 tester functions in temperatures of -0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F), with a temperature range of 0.0 to 100.0 degrees C (+ or – 0.4 degrees C), resolution 0.1 degrees C and ATC from 0 to 70 degrees C (32 to 158 degrees F). pH range is 0.00 to 14.00 pH (+ or - 0.01) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. For ORP readings, the tester has a range of + or - 1999mV (+ or – 1mV) with a resolution of 1mV. Dimensions are 145 x 80 x 36 mm (5.7 x 3.1 x 1.4’’), with weight 230 g (8.1 oz.) pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists. ORP, also known as redox potential, testers measure the oxidization or reduction capacity of a solution. They are commonly used for water-testing, pulp bleaching, and for biological sample analysis in swimming pools, cooling towers, waste water treatment, and industrial applications. Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. To ensure the quality of its products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
