Product Description
Hanna Instruments HI 98185-01 Waterproof Portable pH/ORP/ISE/Temperature Meter, 115V: Industrial & Scientific. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including a pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, an electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and a replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. The Hanna Instruments HI 98185-01 waterproof meter is a handheld multi-parameter meter designed for field use. The HI 98185-01 features the advanced HI 72911B combined pH/temperature electrode, in a meter capable of logging up to 300 samples (or 100 samples with three parameters). Temperature compensation is manual or automatic from -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C (-4.0 to 248.0 degrees F), and can measure temperatures from -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C (-4.0 to 248.0 degrees F) + or - 0.4 degrees C (+ or - 0.8 degrees F) with a resolution of 0.1 degree C (0.1 degree F). Calibration is manual using seven memorized buffers or five custom buffers, with up to five-point calibration. The meter also features the Hanna Calibration-Check function, which notes if the device is properly calibrated, and a calibration range warning to notify the user if a reading appears too far from the calibration periphery. The device has a range of -2.0 to 20.0; -2.00 to 20.00; -2.000 to 20.000 pH (+ or - 0.01; + or - 0.002 pH) with a resolution of 0.1; 0.01; 0.001 pH. ISE range is 1.00 by 10-7 to 9.99 by 1010 concentration (+ or - 0.5% of reading [monovalent ions], + or - 1% of reading [divalent ions]), with a resolution of 3 digits 0.01; 0.1; 1; 10 concentration. Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) range is + or - 2000 mV (+ or - 0.2 mV) with a resolution of 0.1 mV. Ion selective electrode (ISE) calibration is up to five points, with six standard solutions. Input impedance is 1012 Ohms. The meter operates on four 1.2 V AA batteries, and has a user-selected auto-off function after 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes. The meter includes a USB cord for easy data download to Windows, the ability to select units of measurement, and four language choices. pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists. Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. To ensure the quality of their products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
