Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including the world’s first pH electrode with a built in temperature sensor, electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. The Hanna Instruments HI 99131N portable, waterproof, pH and temperature meter, designed for use in plating baths, includes the HI 62911D, a flat tipped, recessed titanium pH probe for minimizing build-up of deposits, and increased signal deliverance. The HI 99131N meter features a large multi-level LCD screen with on-screen tutorial messages for calibration and setup, and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from -5 to 105 degrees C (23 to 221 degrees F). A battery percent displays at startup, an auto off function activates after eight minutes, and the battery error protection system (BEPS) helps to prevent inaccurate readings. The meter comes with (3) AAA 1.5V batteries that provide approximately 1200 hours of continuous use. Calibration is automatic at one or two points with two sets of memorized buffers (Standard 4.01, 7.01, 10.01 or NIST 4.01, 6.86, 9.18), and starter calibration and cleaning sachets are included. The flat-tipped, recessed design of the HI 62911D protects the probe from the build-up of material, and is easier to clean than other probe shapes. The probe also has a DIN connector and 1 m (3.3’) cable for reaching test sites. pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 (+ or - 0.02pH) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. Temperature range is -5.0 to 105.0 degrees C (23.0 to 221.0 degrees F) + or - 0.5 degrees C (up to 60 degrees C), + or - 1 degree C (outside); + or - 1.0 degree F (up to 140 degrees F), + or - 2 degrees F (outside), with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C or F.
