Product Description
Hanna Instruments HI 4221 Single Channel pH/mV/Temperature Benchtop Meter, with Dot Matrix LCD: Industrial & Scientific. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including the world’s first pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. The HI 4221 is a micro-processor-based pH, mV, and temperature bench meter. The meter features a large backlit 240 x 320 dot-matrix color screen, automatic temperature compensation (ATC) or manual compensation, an outside of calibration range warning, and the Hanna Cal-Check function to assure the device is properly calibrated. Calibration is automatic, up to five-point, with five custom and eight standard buffers (1.68, 3.00, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, 12.45) and an on-screen step-by-step calibration tutorial. The meter follows good laboratory practices and captures calibration information, buffer values, and expiration date alongside logged data. All features are available in English, Italian, French, and Spanish languages. pH range is -2.0 to 20.0; -2.00 to 20.00; -2.000 to 20.000 pH (+ or - 0.1: 0.01 pH; 0.002 pH) with resolution 0.1; 0.01; 0.001 pH. Temperature range is – 20.0 to 120.0 degrees C + or - 0.2 degrees C with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C. ORP range is + or - 2000 with accuracy + or - 0.2 mV, and resolution 0.1 mV. Power supply is a 12 VDC adapter. Dimensions are 159 x 230 x 93 mm (6.3 x 9.1 x 3.7) with weight 800 g (1.8 lb.). pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists. Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. To ensure the quality of its products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
