Product Description
Hanna Instruments HI 96802 Digital Frutose Refractometer: Industrial & Scientific. Dimensions are 19.2 x 10.2 x 6.7 cm, and weighs 420 g. Fructose Refractometers utilize the measurement of the refractive index to determine the percent of fructose in a substance. The HI 96802 is a portable, water resistant digital fructose refractometer that employs the measurement of refractive index to determine the percent of fructose in aqueous solutions. The meter helps eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers, and is suitable for field or lab use. Samples are measured after a simple user calibration with deionized or distilled water and within 1.5 seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample and converts it to percent by weight concentration units. The meter features Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) between 10 and 40 degrees C/50 – 104 degrees F, and temperature is displayed (in C and F) simultaneously with the measurement on a dual-level LCD display along with icons for low power and other message codes. Auto-shut off feature turns the meter off automatically after three minutes of non use. Range is 0 to 85%; 0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F) + or – 0.2%; 0.3 degrees C (0.5 degrees F) with a resolution of 0.1%; 0.1 degrees C (0.1 degrees F). The device operates on a 9V battery. They are used by researchers, manufacturers, and individuals. Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions.
