Product Description
Hanna Instruments HI 98109 Skincheck Skin and Scalp pH Tester, with Fixed Electrode: Industrial & Scientific. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including a pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, an electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and a replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. The HI 98109 Skincheck skin and scalp pH tester is a handheld device designed to measure pH on body surfaces that comes with the replaceable HI 1413S/50 glass body pH electrode, which has been designed with a flat tip to use on hair, scalp or other flat surfaces. The HI 98109 meter features a large LCD screen, and operates on (2) 1.5V alkaline batteries that provide up to 3000 hours of continuous use.. Such testers are often used by hair care specialists, dermatologists and the cosmetic industry for determining the pH of skin, hair or scalp quickly. The HI 98109 tester functions in temperatures of 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F), and has a range of pH 0.0 to 14.0 (+ or - 0.2 pH) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. It is calibrated manually to one or two points. Dimensions are 66 x 50 x 25 mm (2.6 x 2.0 x 1.0) and the weight is 70 g (2.5 oz.) with the electrode. pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists. Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions.
