The ivory china plates feature a black band at the outer edge, a 24-karat gold rim, and three finer bands of gold on the interior. A nautical pattern of gold knots and hand-enameled white dots repeats at intervals around the edge, and a gleaming glaze draws the whole design together. The place setting includes a 10-5/8-inch dinner plate, an 8-3/8-inch salad/dessert plate, a 6-3/8-inch bread and butter plate, a 5-3/4-inch saucer, and a 6-ounce teacup. The gold accents on the teacup are especially attractive--they highlight the rim, the foot, and the entire handle. All the pieces are dishwasher-safe and covered by Lenox's lifetime replacement policy. The pattern is also available in serving dishes and accessory pieces.
