Product Description
Oakton Acorn pH 5 Meter, with Probes, 0.00 to 14.00 pH Range: Industrial & Scientific. The meter works with four 1.5-V AAA batteries (not included) for up to 70 hours of continuous use. pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in aquaculture, agriculture, hydroponics, wine-making, and water-testing and for scientific applications. Oakton Instruments manufactures an array of scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. The Oakton 35613-00 Acorn pH 5 is a handheld, waterproof, and dustproof meter that measures pH and temperature, and has push-button calibration capabilities up to three points for a wide range of results. A portable meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance in water treatment and swimming pools in hydroponics, aquaculture, and educational applications. This meter features ATC for accurate readings in fluctuating temperatures, and auto-buffer recognition of USA, NIST and pure water buffer values for quick calibration. It has a large, digital LCD display of pH and temperature for ease of viewing. It comes with a pH electrode (35613-00), temperature probe (35613-05), and a protective rubber boot for protection against drops, dings, and environmental conditions, which has a built-in stand for ease of use. It has a hold function for reading and recording, and an auto-off function that turns the meter off after seventeen minutes of nonuse. Calibration instructions are printed on the back of the meter for quick reference. The 35613-00 has ATC from 0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F), and works in an operating temperature of 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F). It has three-point automatic calibration at three US buffer values of US 4.0, 7.0 or 10.0. pH range is 0.00 to 14.00, resolution 0.01 pH, accuracy + or - 0.01. Temperature range of 0.0 to 100 degrees C, resolution 0.1 degree C, accuracy + or - 0.5 degrees C, calibration offset 0.1 degree C increments. Its dimensions are 5.5 (l) x 2.7 (w) x 1.3 (h) inches (5.5 x 2.7 x 1.3 cm) and it weighs 0.9 lb. Since 1991, Oakton has distributed a wide variety of instruments such as meters, electrodes, and transmitters.
