Product Description
Peggy Karr Iris 14-Inch Handmade Art Glass Seder Plate: Kitchen & Dining. Please note that use of harsh dishwashing detergents and hard water may cause clouding. Handmade in the USA by Peggy Karr Glass, this art glass seder plate is both beautiful and practical - perfect for serving and as a stand-alone piece of art. Six shallow indentations encircle the word 'pesach' in Hebrew and bear the name of each sacred ingredient in both Hebrew and English. The pattern of regal purple iris and the text are actually embedded within the glass, not applied to the surface. Using a series of complex stencils, powdered enamel pigments are hand-applied between two layers of recycled glass and kiln-fired at over 1500F degrees. The process fuses the glass and pigments together, permanently sealing in the design and creating a unique character of bubbles and surface texture in the glass. The result is a gorgeous, durable, 100-percent food-safe serving piece that is microwave-warmable and dishwasher-safe. Due to its hand-crafted nature, each piece of Peggy Karr glass may vary in size. This seder plate measures approximately 14-inch in diameter. The glass is untempered and therefore not for oven use; avoid contact with extremely hot food. Peggy Karr glass is highly collectible and available in a wide range of patterns and pieces.
