Not only does the casserole succeed in the oven, but its colorful glaze and stylish design also livens up the dinner table as a serving dish for hot dishes or cold salads alike. Crafted in vitrified, high-fired stoneware, the covered casserole’s nonporous glaze prevents residual stains or odors while the strong construction resists chips and cracks. The versatility of stoneware renders the dish and its dome lid safe for use in the microwave, freezer, dishwasher, and oven, sustaining temperatures up to 500 degrees F. To transfer steaming stews from the oven to the table, the body of the casserole flares out at opposite sides to offer two easy-to-grasp handles with cutout oval holes two wide oval handle holes.
