Stainless Steel Immersion Wort Chiller: Everything Else. It is important to chill the wort in the shortest time possible. This is the Stainless Steel version of our most popular immersion wort chiller. It is easy to clean and extremely durable. Just as with the copper wort chiller, this chiller will cool your wort in a fraction of the time it takes using an ice bath. It consists of 25' of stainless steel tubing, and has 8 of vinyl tubing on the intake and output lines. The intake line is fitted with a female garden hose fitting that will attach to most utility sinks. By using a wort chiller at the end of the boil it is possible to cool the wort below 80 degrees in 12 to 15 minutes, minimizing the risk of infection as well as reducing the risk of a chill haze.
