Product Description
Thermo Scientific Orion Triode 3-in-1 pH/Automatic Temperature Compensation Probe, with BNC Connector and 1m Cable, 0 to 14 pH: Industrial & Scientific. Thermo Fisher Scientific manufactures analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, consumables, and software under the Thermo Scientific and Fisher Scientific brands, among others. The Thermo Scientific Orion 9107BN triode pH probe is a gel-filled combination electrode that measures pH and temperature with ATC, has an epoxy body for durability, a wick junction, and a waterproof BNC connection with a 1 m cable and an 8-pin Mini-DIN connector. The 9107BN is gel-filled for low maintenance, and measures pH and temperature with automatic temperature compensation (ATC). The permanently-gelled Ag/AgCl (silver/silver chloride) electrolyte produces less noise (unwanted voltages) than gold or purely silver electrodes, and requires no refills. The electrode also has a patented internal reference to mimimize drift and equilibrium time, and a waterproof Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connection with a 1 m cable and an 8-pin Mini-DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) connector. This electrode is frequently used in aqueous solutions in the lab and field, and with the Orion 210, 230, 250, 410, 420, 520, 525, 710, 720, 920 A and A+ series meters pH range is 0 to 14 (+ or - 0.02 with ATC), temperature range is 0 to 90 degrees C (32 to 194 degrees F) and body dimensions are 110 mm (length) x 12 mm (diameter), with a 1 m cable. Buffer and storage solutions are sold separately. pH electrodes are used in pH meters and testers to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. They are often constructed of glass, which senses hydrogen ions, and generates a millivoltage that is picked up by the filling solution and transferred to a wire that connects to the pH meter. The company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Waltham, MA.
