The bags keep food fresh up to five times longer than conventional storage methods, and can be microwaved or boiled in a pot of water on the stove to thaw. Capture fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable foods in their prime for enjoyment throughout the year by storing them in these heavy-duty vacuum-seal bags. Constructed of two-ply, 3-mil nylon, the units feature a layer of polyethylene mesh that draws air out, protecting their contents from oxidation, freezer-burn, and premature spoiling. The roomy, commercial-grade bags accommodate Weston-brand vacuum sealers (sold separately), as well as virtually all external-clamp-style vacuum-sealing machines, and can be trimmed to size as needed.
