This Energy Star qualified fan has a built-in damper to prevent back draft, which helps to prevent outside air from coming through the fan. Panasonic's WhisperGreen series is the first to incorporate a totally enclosed DC motor designed for extremely quiet, energy-efficient operation, and it's engineered for trouble-free, continuous run for several years. When faced with static pressure, the SmartFlow Optimum CFM Technology automatically increases the fan's speed to ensure that the desired CFM is actually achieved. The Panasonic FV-08VKS2 WhisperGreen 80 CFM fan is equipped with a CustomVent Variable Speed Control that allows the fan to run continuously at a pre-set lower level of 0-70 CFM that can then be elevated to a maximum of 80 CFM when the switch is turned on. A High/Low delay timer (adjustable up to 60 minutes), will then return the fan to the minimum CFM level after a period of time set by the user. This fan has a .3 sone level.
