Product Description
Ceramic nativity scene, Three Regions: Home & Kitchen. I find inspiration in the Andes, in its magnificent ecology and legendary customs. NOVICA, in association with National Geographic, offers thousands of limited edition and one-of-a-kind gifts, jewelry, and home decor treasures handmade by master artists and artisans throughout the world. People of three regions come together to marvel at the birth of Christ. Juan Soto depicts the first Christmas in Peru in this charming nativity scene. Eight ceramic figurines portray Mary, Joseph, and the tiny Christ child in clothing from Cuzco. Dressed in warm Andean clothing, shepherds represent highlands residents, while a child comes from the Amazon valley. Artisan Info: I was born in Ayacucho on September 29, 1976. I learned from a very young age the secrets of ceramic work, for my parents were ceramists too. At the moment I work on my own, using what I learned from my parents to hand-craft ceramic pieces. Most of my work tends to reflect pre-Inca life.
