The palace was built around the actual North Pole, which is left prominent in the front court yard and topped with an NP monogram final. Long time fans to the North Pole Series will recognize architectural details inspired by Santa's previous homes, The North Pole Workshop from 1990 and Route One, Home to Santa and Mrs. Claus from 1996. Similar features include the sweeping roof line with red tile shingles, stucco and stone construction, and heavy, wooden, arched front door. Additional features to their new home, including gingerbread detailing, snowflake finials, and 3 fanciful tower turrets, give this home a proper castle-like appearance. The highest tower, complete with 360 degree windows, is used by Santa throughout the year to watch all of the good girls and boys around the world. Here, Santa and his elves busily prepare all sorts of toys for children everywhere.
