The Combo 8 provides an indoor/outdoor temperature station and a more sophisticated forecast station. For consistent readings between the two stations, the two base receivers obtain outdoor weather transmissions from the same TX29UD-IT remote sensor. The sensor communicates with both receivers at a 915 MHz frequency from up to 330 feet unobstructed.The sleek, silver receivers benefit from detachable stands and hanging holes for home display options. On their LCD screens, both receivers display the indoor temperatures of their respective locations, along with the date, time, and outdoor temperature, as relayed by the remote sensor. The stations have an indoor temperature range from 14.2 to 139.8 degrees F and an outdoor temperature range from -38.9 to 139.8 degrees F. In Celsius or Fahrenheit, the stations also offer push-button access to minimum and maximum temperature recordings with time and date stamps. While the temperature station’s clock is manually set, the forecast station resets time and date daily via radio transmissions from the US Atomic Clock. Additional forecast station features include 12-hour air pressure history, pressure tendency arrows, and forecast icons. Endowed with selectable LCD contrast, the forecast receiver also includes indoor humidity readings and an indoor comfort level icon. Place the sensor out of direct rain and sun for the best results; up to three sensors can be used with the combo. A limited one-year warranty covers this package.
