From La Crosse Technology, the clock resets the time and date regularly according to communications from the US atomic clock’s WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado. The clock offers indoor and outdoor temperatures, weather forecasts, and an alarm with ten-minute snooze. The clock mounts on a wall or stands alone with a built-in stand. Flanked by attractive oak side panels, the clock features two LCD screens in black casing. The upper LCD relates the time in 12-hour format, along with alarm-on, low battery, and radio signal indicators. The sun icon predicts an improvement in conditions, the sun and clouds icon anticipates fair conditions, and the rain and clouds icon suggests worsening weather. Function buttons on the backside of the clock enable the user to set the time, alarm, and time zone, choose Fahrenheit or Celsius display, select English, French, or Spanish language setting, and turn off the auto DST setting. Assessing outdoor temperatures from -39 to 140 degrees F, a remote TX37U sensor transmits to the clock from up to 330 feet away at a 915 MHz frequency. Mount the sensor out of direct rain or sunlight for the best results. A limited one-year warranty covers this item.
