Product Description
Orthoceras Fossil: Office Products. Unlike the ammonites, these creatures had a shell that was straight (similar in look to a cone or a space rocket ship). Orthoceras (which means straight horn) refers to a group of cephalopods that existed from 360-470 million years ago in Europe and North America. These were the most advanced invertebrates of their time period, with a complex central nervous system and the ability to squirt water via a jet-propulsion that allowed them to move about the ocean floor.
