Orthoceras (which means straight horn) refers to a group of cephalopods that existed from 360-470 million years ago in Europe and North America. These were the most advanced invertebrates of their time period, with a complex central nervous system and the ability to squirt water via a jet-propulsion that allowed them to move about the ocean floor.
