It is durably constructed with an airtight, plate steel construction and lined with firebrick to insure years of service. This EPA certified unit is capable of heating up to 1,800 square feet of living space with a 69,600 BTU rating per hour. The Colonial is painted matte black and accented with a subtle pewter trim. The Colonial Fireplace Insert features a cast iron feed door with a large ceramic glass window for a brilliant view of the burning fire. The firebox accommodates 18 lbs. The Colonial features a slide damper with a cool touch spring handle and an adjustable, high speed (125 CFM) blower that directs warm air over and around the firebox, allowing the unit to run with a 75% efficiency rating.
