1. Trying to copy huge Ebay seller's methods of selling - You are not a top seller, so why are you trying to copy them?
A. Good till canceled listings are not the best way to list.. They have a fraction the power of normal 7 day auction listings.
B. Listing 100's or more items is not the solution either..
2. Focusing on quality rather than quantity is the answer.
A. Making more profit per sale is the end goal, not listing the most items.
B. Carefully picking the items to sell is far more important than the volume of listings.
3. Realize you need to start slow and build your account steadily over time.
A. Ebay holds your money at first, so it is wise to sell things around the house or cheap items, rather than expensive direct from vendor items, so your money is not tied up so much.
B. Ebay and Amazon rate how much they trust you based on your previous sales history. If you are a new seller and have little sales history, you do only a little in new sales at first, because they don't trust you.. Over time, you build steadily. Avoid spikes in new sales and spikes in new items listed, because Ebay/Paypal considers it risky when a newer seller with little history is selling a lot of new items..
