Was Origen Judged by 5th Council? - Universal Redemption?

Origen was deemed bad 300 years after his death by the 2nd Council in 553 CE.

Why was it that he was not condemned in his time?

I believe it was because, Rome was not in control of the church before that time:

Also, it was mainly Origen's ideas on pre-existence of souls that got him and those who followed after him into trouble.
