Is The End Nigh? Or Are The |
Would you like to know why 2012 is not the "Last Days" and how everyone who is predicting the End of the World is wrong? There is one simple reason why 2012 is not the Last Days and I will show you why.
"1 And the word of the LORD came to me saying, 2 "Son of man, set your face toward , the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him 3 and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. 4 "I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords; 5 Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops--many peoples with you. 7 "Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them. 8 "After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them. 9 "You will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you." 10 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan, 11 and you will say, 'I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates, 12 to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.' 13 "Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, 'Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?' "' 14 "Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "On that day when My people Israel are living securely, will you not know it? 15 "You will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great assembly and a mighty army; 16 and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog." |

Note: No mention of nations immediately surrounding Israel, such as Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, etc. One conjecture is that Israel may take over the lands surrounding it and have peace for a time. Imagine Israel encompassing Egypt, Syria, Jordan and even Saudi Arabia, and a huge mass of land around it. If you think about it, it makes sense. Israel seems poised to defend itself against many who would like to see it disappear. They would either have to be proactive or defensive.
"21 Thus the LORD will make Himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day. They will even worship with sacrifice and offering, and will make a vow to the LORD and perform it. 22 The LORD will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to the LORD, and He will respond to them and will heal them. 23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. 24 In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25 whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance." |
Assyria encompassed all of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Kuwait and even part of Saudi Arabia. If this verse above relates to this end time prophecy, it would mean that Israel takes over a lion share of the Middle East and would greatly stabilize the region.
Consider if Israel conquered many lands around it and had the backing of the USA. In such a case, perhaps it could be a nation without walls and living securely? Possibly with Syrians and Egyptians as part of Israel and allies, they could then dwell securely without walls? Perhaps also, the gospel could then more easily reach the end of the Earth with the region dwelling securely and having freedom of religion.
Yet, could it remain that way without any retaliation? Considering Russia's support for many Islamic States, it would be no surprise if they saw the wealth that could be gained by taking over such a huge region from Israel and would not the other Islamic States see it as justice to their cause and beliefs?
"1 "And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around, drive you on, take you up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 "I will strike your bow from your left hand and dash down your arrows from your right hand. 4 "You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field. 5 "You will fall on the open field; for it is I who have spoken," declares the Lord GOD. 6 "And I will send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD." |
AND:
"12 Now this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. 13 It will come about in that day that a great panic from the LORD will fall on them; and they will seize one another's hand, and the hand of one will be lifted against the hand of another. 14 Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance. 15 So also like this plague will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey and all the cattle that will be in those camps. The problem here is Israel is nothing like what is described in the prophecy in its current state. However, if they did invade or defend themselves against nations around them and take their lands, it could be once they have lessened their own threat surrounding them, they would be a nation without walls. And in such a circumstance, maybe then Russia and its Muslim allies would see it as a land to take and this would start the End of Days.
So, I do not believe that 2012 is the End of Days. Perhaps sometime such as 2060 or maybe 2260 will we find the last days.
