Chapter IV.—On the Death of Eusebius Pamphilus, Acacius succeeds to the Bishopric of Cæsarea. At this time Eusebius, who was bishop of Cæsarea in Palestine, and had the surname of Pamphilus, having died, Acacius, his disciple, succeeded him in the bishopric. This individual published several books, and among others a biographical sketch of his master.
