The Diablo Octane crown contains 10 million turbostatic carbon fibers--500,000 per square inch--set with six tons of force during the forging process to reinforce 33 percent of the clubhead. These ultra-light, thin-walled components result in lower total head weight and optimized mass properties that make the Diablo Octane Driver lighter, faster, and stronger. The lighter clubhead still has an extremely high MOI and allows for a longer shaft that generates faster head and ball speeds for an average 8 extra yards over Diablo Edge Driver. Hyperbolic Face Technology: Hyperbolic Face Technology produces consistently high ball speeds for long distance, even on off-center hits and on shots hit across all areas of the driver face. Callaway produces these consistently high ball speeds by using a chemical reduction process to selectively remove excess material from areas of the titanium face for precision thickness control of the strategic hyperbolic shaping.
