From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple.

Verse 20. From the ground unto above the door] The temple was thirty cubits high, 1 Kings vi. 2, the gate was fourteen cubits, chap. xl. 48. The palm trees and the cherubim were the same height as the gate or door. The windows were above the door.

After the prophet had observed the courts, he was brought to the temple. If we attend to instructions in the plainer parts of religion and profit by them, we shall be led further into an acquaintance with the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven __________________________________________________________________
