TSK - ISAIAH 50

  1  Christ shews that the dereliction of the Jews is not to be
    imputed to him, by his ability to save;
 5  by his obedience in that work;
 7  and by his confidence in that assistance.
10  An exhortation to trust in God, and not in ourselves.

  The eastern people always held the beard in great veneration;
  and to pluck a man's beard is one of the grossest indignities
  that can be offered.  D'Arvieux gives a remarkable instance of
  an Arab, who, having received a wound in his jaw, chose to
  hazard his life rather than suffer the surgeon to cut off his
  beard.  See Note on 2 Sa 4 10:4.
