28:1 And it came to pass the same year 8141, in the beginning 7225 of the reign 4467 of Zedekiah 6667 king 4428 of Judah 3063, in the fourth 7243 year 8141, [and] in the fifth 2549 month 2320, [that] Hananiah 2608 the son 1121 of Azur 5809 the prophet 5030, which [was] of Gibeon 1391, spake 559 8804 unto me in the house 1004 of the LORD 3068, in the presence 5869 of the priests 3548 and of all the people 5971, saying 559 8800,

28:2 Thus speaketh 559 8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635, the God 430 of Israel 3478, saying 559 8800, I have broken 7665 8804 the yoke 5923 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894.

28:3 Within two full 3117 years 8141 will I bring again 7725 8688 into this place 4725 all the vessels 3627 of the LORD'S 3068 house 1004, that Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 took away 3947 8804 from this place 4725, and carried 935 8686 them to Babylon 894:(two…: Heb. two years of days)

28:4 And I will bring again 7725 8688 to this place 4725 Jeconiah 3204 the son 1121 of Jehoiakim 3079 king 4428 of Judah 3063, with all the captives 1546 of Judah 3063, that went 935 8802 into Babylon 894, saith 5002 8803 the LORD 3068: for I will break 7665 8799 the yoke 5923 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894.(captives: Heb. captivity)

28:5 Then the prophet 5030 Jeremiah 3414 said 559 8799 unto the prophet 5030 Hananiah 2608 in the presence 5869 of the priests 3548, and in the presence 5869 of all the people 5971 that stood 5975 8802 in the house 1004 of the LORD 3068,

28:6 Even the prophet 5030 Jeremiah 3414 said 559 8799, Amen 543: the LORD 3068 do 6213 8799 so: the LORD 3068 perform 6965 8686 thy words 1697 which thou hast prophesied 5012 8738, to bring again 7725 8687 the vessels 3627 of the LORD'S 3068 house 1004, and all that is carried away captive 1473, from Babylon 894 into this place 4725.

28:7 Nevertheless hear 8085 8798 thou now this word 1697 that I speak 1696 8802 in thine ears 241, and in the ears 241 of all the people 5971;

28:8 The prophets 5030 that have been before 6440 me and before 6440 thee of old 5769 prophesied 5012 8735 both against many 7227 countries 776, and against great 1419 kingdoms 4467, of war 4421, and of evil 7451, and of pestilence 1698.

28:9 The prophet 5030 which prophesieth 5012 8735 of peace 7965, when the word 1697 of the prophet 5030 shall come to pass 935 8800, [then] 227 shall the prophet 5030 be known 3045 8735, that the LORD 3068 hath truly 571 sent 7971 8804 him.

28:10 Then Hananiah 2608 the prophet 5030 took 3947 8799 the yoke 4133 from off the prophet 5030 Jeremiah's 3414 neck 6677, and brake 7665 8799 it.

28:11 And Hananiah 2608 spake 559 8799 in the presence 5869 of all the people 5971, saying 559 8800, Thus saith 559 8804 the LORD 3068; Even so will I break 7665 8799 the yoke 5923 of Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 from the neck 6677 of all nations 1471 within the space of two full 3117 years 8141. And the prophet 5030 Jeremiah 3414 went 3212 8799 his way 1870.

28:12 Then the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came unto Jeremiah 3414 [the prophet], after 310 that Hananiah 2608 the prophet 5030 had broken 7665 8800 the yoke 4133 from off the neck 6677 of the prophet 5030 Jeremiah 3414, saying 559 8800,

28:13 Go 1980 8800 and tell 559 8804 Hananiah 2608, saying 559 8800, Thus saith 559 8804 the LORD 3068; Thou hast broken 7665 8804 the yokes 4133 of wood 6086; but thou shalt make 6213 8804 for them yokes 4133 of iron 1270.

28:14 For thus saith 559 8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635, the God 430 of Israel 3478; I have put 5414 8804 a yoke 5923 of iron 1270 upon the neck 6677 of all these nations 1471, that they may serve 5647 8800 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894; and they shall serve 5647 8804 him: and I have given 5414 8804 him the beasts 2416 of the field 7704 also.

28:15 Then said 559 8799 the prophet 5030 Jeremiah 3414 unto Hananiah 2608 the prophet 5030, Hear 8085 8798 now, Hananiah 2608; The LORD 3068 hath not sent 7971 8804 thee; but thou makest this people 5971 to trust 982 8689 in a lie 8267.

28:16 Therefore thus saith 559 8804 the LORD 3068; Behold, I will cast 7971 8764 thee from off the face 6440 of the earth 127: this year 8141 thou shalt die 4191 8801, because thou hast taught 1696 8765 rebellion 5627 against the LORD 3068.(rebellion: Heb. revolt)

28:17 So Hananiah 2608 the prophet 5030 died 4191 8799 the same year 8141 in the seventh 7637 month 2320.
