SEV Biblia, Chapter 15:12
Y esta fue la palabra del SEÑOR que había hablado a Jehú, diciendo: Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se te sentarán en el trono de Israel. Y fue así.

Verse 12. This was the word of the Lord-unto Jehu] God had promised to Jehu that his sons should sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation; and so it came to pass, for Jehoahaz, Joash, Jeroboam, and Zachariah, succeeded Jehu, to whom this promise was made. But because he executed the Divine purpose with an uncommanded cruelty, therefore God cut his family short, according to his word by Hosea, I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu; and I will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel, Hos i. 4.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 12. This was the word of the Lord which he spake unto Jehu , etc.] Which was now fulfilled in the short reign of Zachariah: saying, thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation ; (see 2 Kings 10:30), and so it came to pass; as every word of the Lord does, not one fails; for after Jehu reigned Jehoahaz, Jehoash, Jeroboam the second, and Zachariah, all descendants of Jehu.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 8-31 - This history shows Israel in confusion. Though Judah was not withou troubles, yet that kingdom was happy, compared with the state of Israel. The imperfections of true believers are very different from the allowed wickedness of ungodly men. Such is human nature, such are ou hearts, if left to themselves, deceitful above all things, an desperately wicked. We have reason to be thankful for restraints, for being kept out of temptation, and should beg of God to renew a righ spirit within us.
