Y esta Casa fue acabada al tercer día del mes de Adar, que eral sexto aņo del reinado del rey Darío.

Verse 15. This house was finished] The sixth year of Darius mentioned here was about A.M. 3489, twenty years after the foundation had been laid by ZerubbHebel, under the reign of Cyrus.

Ver. 15. And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar , etc.] The twelfth month of the year with the Jews, and answers to part of our February and part of March: which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king ; four years after the decree came forth.

Verses 13-22 - The gospel church, that spiritual temple, is long in the building, but it will be finished at last, when the mystical body is completed. Ever believer is a living temple, building up himself in his most holy faith: much opposition is given to this work by Satan and our ow corruptions. We trifle, and proceed in it with many stops and pauses but He that has begun the good work, will see it performed. The spirits of just men will be made perfect. By getting their sins take away, the Jews would free themselves from the sting of their lat troubles. Their service was with joy. Let us welcome holy ordinance with joy, and serve the Lord with gladness __________________________________________________________________
