King James Bible - Judges 17:11

And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.

World English Bible

The Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.

Douay-Rheims - Judges 17:11

He was content, and abode with the man, and was unto him as one of his sons.

Webster's Bible Translation

And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.

Original Hebrew

SEV Biblia, Chapter 17:11

Acordó, pues, el levita en morar con aquel hombre, y él lo tenía como a uno de sus hijos.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Judges 17:11

Verse 11. The Levite was content] He thought the place a good one, and the
wages respectable.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 11. And the Levite was content to dwell with the man , etc.] To continue with him; after he had made
trial for some time, he liked his service, and his wages, and way of living; it was all agreeable to him: and the young man was unto him as one of his sons ; as dearly beloved by him, and used as kindly and tenderly, as if he had been one of his own children; so strong were the affections of Micah to him, and so well pleased was he with his service.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 7-13 - Micah thought it was a sign of
God's favour to him and his images, tha a Levite should come to his door. Thus those who please themselves with their own delusions, if Providence unexpectedly bring any thing to their hands that further them in their evil way, are apt from thence to think that God is pleased with them __________________________________________________________________
