King James Bible - Numbers 11:13

Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

World English Bible

Where could I get meat to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, 'Give us meat, that we may eat.'

Douay-Rheims - Numbers 11:13

Whence should I have flesh to give to so great a multitude? they weep against me, saying: Give us flesh that we may eat.

Webster's Bible Translation

Whence should I have flesh to give to all this people? for they weep to me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

VERSE (13) -
Mt 15:33 Mr 8:4; 9:23

SEV Biblia, Chapter 11:13

¿De dónde tengo yo carne para dar a todo este pueblo? Porque lloran a mí, diciendo: Danos carne que comamos.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 13. Whence should I have
flesh to give unto all this people ? etc.] This seems to countenance the Israelites in their lusting after flesh, as if it was no evil in them, and as if it was but right they should have what they desired, though it was out of his power to give it them: for they weep unto me, saying, give us flesh, that we may eat ; he seems to pity them, whereas he ought to have reproved them for their murmurings and ingratitude, and put them in mind of the manna which was provided for them every day, and with which they ought to have been content.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 10-15 - The provocation was very great; yet Moses expressed himself otherwis than became him. He undervalued the honour
God had put upon him. He magnified his own performances, while he had the Divine wisdom to direct him, and Almighty power to dispense rewards and punishments. He speaks distrustfully of the Divine grace. Had the work been much les he could not have gone through it in his own strength; but had it bee much greater, through God strengthening him, he might have done it. Le us pray, Lord, lead us not into temptation.
