John Gill's Bible Commentary Ver. 43. And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema .] One of these, Tappuah, is the name of a city in the tribe of Judah, ( Joshua 15:34) and there is also Bethtappuah in the same tribe, ( Chronicles 2:53) which one, or both, might have their name from this man; and Shema also, ( 1 Chronicles 2:26).
