Clarke's Bible Commentary - 2 Chronicles 35:11 Verse 11. They killed the passover] The people themselves might slay their own paschal lambs, and then present the blood to the priests, that they might sprinkle it before the altar; and the Levites flayed them, and made them ready for dressing.
John Gill's Bible Commentary Ver. 11. And they killed the passover , etc.] The lambs for the passover, which was done by the Levites: and the priests sprinkled [the blood] from their hands ; which they received from the Levites, (see 2 Chronicles 30:16). and the Levites flayed them ; the passover lambs, took off their skins.
Matthew Henry Commentary Verses 1-19 - The destruction Josiah made of idolatry, was more largely related in the book of Kings. His solemnizing the passover is related here. The Lord's supper resembles the passover more than any other of the Jewis festivals; and the due observance of that ordinance, is a proof of growing piety and devotion. God alone can truly make our hearts holy and prepare them for his holy services; but there are duties belongin to us, in doing which we obtain this blessing from the Lord.
