John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 7. But all the
cattle, and the spoil of the cities , etc.] The oxen and sheep, camels and asses; their gold and silver, and the furniture of their houses; their stores of corn, and of other fruits of the earth, even all their substance of whatsoever kind: we took for a prey to ourselves ; made them their own property, and used them for their own profit and service, whereby they became greatly enriched.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 1-11 -
Og was very powerful, but he did not take warning by the ruin of Sihon and desire conditions of peace. He trusted his own strength, and so wa hardened to his destruction. Those not awakened by the judgments of God on others, ripen for the like judgments on themselves.
