SEV Biblia, Chapter 3:26

Mas el SEÑOR se había enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me oyó; y me dijo el SEÑOR: Basta, no me hables más de este negocio.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - Deuteronomy 3:26

Verse 26. Let it suffice thee] ûl br rab lach, there is an
abundance to thee-thou hast had honour enough already, and may well dispense with going over Jordan. He surely has no reason to complain who is taken from earthly felicity to heavenly glory. In this act God showed to Moses both his goodness and severity.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 26. But the
Lord was wroth with me for your sakes , etc.] Not at this time, and for this prayer of his, but on account of he and Aaron not sanctifying him at the waters of Meribah; or of some expressions of unbelief, and unadvised words, which dropped from his lips through their provocation of him; (see Numbers 20:12 <19A632> Psalm 106:32,33) and would not hear me ; now, and grant the above request, having before declared that he and Aaron should not bring the people of Israel into the land he had given them; and Moses with all his entreaties could not prevail upon him to repeal the sentence: and the Lord said unto me, let it suffice ; that he had seen the conquest of the two kings, and the delivery of their kingdoms into the hands of Israel; and that he had brought the people through the wilderness to the borders of the land of Canaan, and that he should have a distant sight of the land, as after directed: speak no more unto me of this matter ; intimating it would be in vain, and to no purpose, to solicit such a favour, since it would never be granted; it was a determined point, and he would never recede from it.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 21-29 - Moses encouraged Joshua, who was to succeed him. Thus the aged an experienced in the service of
God, should do all they can to strengthe the hands of those who are young, and setting out in religion. Conside what God has done, what God has promised. If God be for us, who can be against us, so as to prevail? We reproach our Leader if we follow his trembling. Moses prayed, that, if it were God's will, he might go before Israel, over Jordan into Canaan. We should never allow an desires in our hearts, which we cannot in faith offer up to God be prayer. God's answer to this prayer had a mixture of mercy an judgment. God sees it good to deny many things we desire. He may accep our prayers, yet not grant us the very things we pray for. It God doe not by his providence give us what we desire, yet if by his grace he makes us content without, it comes to much the same. Let it suffic thee to have God for thy Father, and heaven for thy portion, thoug thou hast not every thing thou wouldst have in the world. God promise Moses a sight of Canaan from the top of Pisgah. Though he should no have the possession of it, he should have the prospect of it. Eve great believers, in this present state, see heaven but at a distance God provided him a successor. It is a comfort to the friends of the church of Christ, to see God's work likely to be carried on by others when they are silent in the dust. And if we have the earnest an prospect of heaven, let these suffice us; let us submit to the Lord' will, and speak no more to Him of matters which he sees good to refus us __________________________________________________________________
