Y Moisés dio el dinero de los rescates a Aarón y a sus hijos, conforme al dicho del SEÑOR, de la manera que el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés.

Ver. 51. And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed , etc.] That were redeemed this way, and not by Levites, as in ( Numbers 3:49), but by money, paying five shekels a head: unto Aaron and his sons ; to whom the Levites were given; and this money, as a recompence for the deficiency of the number of them, to answer to the firstborn exchanged for them: according to the word of the Lord ; ( Numbers 3:48); as the Lord commanded Moses ; so did he, being a faithful servant in all things in the house of God; he did not convert it to his own use, or to any other use than to what God had appointed it.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 40-51 - The number of the first-born, and that of the Levites, came near to each other. Known unto God are all his works beforehand; there is a exact proportion between them, and so it will appear, when they ar compared together. The small number of first-born, over and above the number of the Levites, were to be redeemed, and the redemption-mone given to Aaron. The church is called the church of the first-born which is redeemed, not as they were, with silver and gold; but, being devoted by sin to the justice of God, is ransomed with the preciou blood of the Son of God. All men are the Lord's by creation, and all true christians are his by redemption. Each should know his own pos and duty; nor can any service required by such a Master be rightl accounted mean or hard __________________________________________________________________
