But if He does not even here speak of His own coming, but of the coming of the Hebrew Christ,4916 4916 That is, the Creator’s Christ from the Marcionite point of view. let us still wait in expectation that He will vouchsafe to us some prophecy of His own advent; meanwhile we will continue to believe that He is none other than He whom He reminds us of in every passage.
