SEV Biblia, Chapter 15:2 Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los levitas; porque a ellos ha elegido el SEÑOR para que lleven el arca del SEÑOR, y le sirvan perpetuamente.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Chronicles 15:2 Verse 2. None ought to carry the ark-but the Levites] It was their business; and he should have thought of this sooner, and then the unfortunate breach on Uzza would have been prevented; see 1 Chron. xv. 13.
John Gill's Bible Commentary Ver. 2. Then David said , etc.] Either within himself, or to his ministers and courtiers about him: none ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites ; he saw his former mistake in employing those that were not Levites in bringing up the ark from Kirjathjearim, and bringing it in a cart, and not on the shoulders of the Levites, and so miscarried in his attempt, ( 2 Samuel 6:1) and, perhaps, had since more diligently consulted the law of God about this matter: for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever ; as long as the Levitical dispensation lasted, as appears from ( Numbers 1:50 4:15 7:9).
Matthew Henry Commentary Verses 1-24 - Wise and good men may be guilty of oversights, which they will correct as soon as they are aware of them. David does not try to justify what had been done amiss, nor to lay the blame on others; but he own himself guilty, with others, of not seeking God in due order
