SEV Biblia, Chapter 29:21
Y sacrificaron víctimas al SEŅOR, y ofrecieron al SEŅOR holocaustos el día siguiente, mil becerros, mil carneros, mil ovejas con sus libaciones, y muchos sacrificios por todo Israel.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Chronicles 29:21
Verse 21. With their drink-offerings] The Targum says a thousand drink-offerings, making these libations equal in number to the other offerings. And sacrifices] These were peace-offerings, offered for the people, and on the flesh of which they feasted.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 21. And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord , etc.] David and the congregation: and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the morrow after that day ; not having time enough on that day to perform, at least not all of them; and these they offered on the altar David had erected in the threshingfloor of Araunah, by the order of God, where afterwards the temple was built: [even] a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their burnt offerings ; and meat offerings also, both which always went along with them: and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel ; whom they represented; these last were peace offerings, part of which the offerers had for themselves and friends to feast on, as these did, as follows.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 20-25 - This great assembly joined with David in adoring God. Whoever is the mouth of the congregation, those only have the benefit who join him not by bowing down the head, so much as by lifting up the soul. Solomo sat on the throne of the Lord. Solomon's kingdom typified the kingdo of the Messiah, whose throne is the throne of the Lord.
