SEV Biblia, Chapter 35:21
¶ Y salió Israel, y tendió su tienda más allá de la torre de Eder.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Genesis 35:21
Verse 21. Tower of Edar.] Literally, the tower of the flock, and so translated Micah iv. 8. It is supposed that this tower was about a mile from Bethlehem, and to have been the place where the angels appeared to the shepherds. The Targum of Jonathan expressly says: ""It is the place in which the King Messiah shall be manifested in the end of days."" By the tower of the flock we may understand a place built by the shepherds near to some well, for the convenience of watering their flocks, and keeping watch over them by night.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 21-29 - What a sore affliction Reuben's sin was, is shown, "and Israel hear it." No more is said, but that is enough. Reuben thought that his father would never hear of it; but those that promise themselve secrecy in sin, are generally disappointed. The age and death of Isaa are recorded, though he died not till after Joseph was sold into Egypt Isaac lived about forty years after he had made his will, chap. 27:2 We shall not die an hour the sooner, but much the better, for timel setting our hearts and houses in order. Particular notice is taken of the agreement of Esau and Jacob at their father's funeral, to show ho God had wonderfully changed Esau's mind. It is awful to behol relations, sometimes for a little of this world's goods, disputing ove the graves of their friends, while they are near going to the grav themselves __________________________________________________________________
