SEV Biblia, Chapter 10:12
Vida y misericordia me concediste, y tu visitación guardó mi espíritu.
Clarke's Bible Commentary - Job 10:12
Verse 12. Thou hast granted me life and favourer ] Thou hast brought me from my mother's womb; given me an actual existence among men; by thy favour or mercy thou hast provided me with the means of life; and thy visitation-thy continual providential care, has preserved me in life-has given me the air I breathe, and furnished me with those powers which enable me to respire it as an agent and preserver of life. It is by God's continued visitation or influence that the life of any man is preserved; in him we live, move, and have our being.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 8-13 - Job seems to argue with God, as if he only formed and preserved him for misery. God made us, not we ourselves. How sad that those bodies shoul be instruments of unrighteousness, which are capable of being temple of the Holy Ghost! But the soul is the life, the soul is the man, an this is the gift of God. If we plead with ourselves as an inducement to duty, God made me and maintains me, we may plead as an argument for mercy, Thou hast made me, do thou new-make me; I am thine, save me.
