SEV Biblia, Chapter 22:7

Y cuando el sol se pusiere, será purificado; y después comerá de las santificaciones, porque su pan es.

John Gill's Bible Commentary

Ver. 7. And when the sun is down he shall be
clean , etc.] Having washed himself in water, otherwise not, though the sun may be set: and shall afterwards eat of the holy things ; the families of the priests lived upon: because it [is] his food : his common food, his ordinary diet, that by which he subsists, having nothing else to live upon; this being the ordination of God, that he which ministered about holy things should live on them; and these being his only substance, in compassion to him they were detained from him no longer than the evening; and this was done, to make him careful how he defiled himself, since thereby he was debarred of his ordinary meals.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Laws concerning the priests and sacrifices.

--In this chapter we have divers laws concerning the priests an sacrifices, all for preserving the honour of the sanctuary. Let u recollect with gratitude that our great High Priest cannot be hindere by any thing from the discharge of his office. Let us also remember that the Lord requires us to reverence his name, his truths, his ordinances, and commandments. Let us beware of hypocrisy, and examin ourselves concerning our sinful defilements, seeking to be purifie from them in the blood of Christ, and by his sanctifying Spirit Whoever attempts to expiate his own sin, or draws near in the pride of self-righteousness, puts as great an affront on Christ, as he who come to the Lord's table from the gratification of sinful lusts. Nor can the minister who loves the souls of the people, suffer them to continue in this dangerous delusion. He must call upon them, not only to repent of their sins, and forsake them; but to put their whole trust in the atonement of Christ, by faith in his name, for pardon and acceptanc with God; thus only will the Lord make them holy, as his own people __________________________________________________________________
