VERSE (24) -
:17,20

SEV Biblia, Chapter 7:24

Cada uno, hermanos, en lo que fue llamado, en esto se quede para con Dios.

Clarke's Bible Commentary - 1 Corinthians 7:24

Verse 24. Let every man-abide with
God.] Let him live to God in whatsoever station he is placed by Providence. If he be a slave, God will be with him even in his slavery, if he be faithful to the grace which he has received. It is very likely that some of the slaves at Corinth, who had been converted to Christianity, had been led to think that their Christian privileges absolved them from the necessity of continuing slaves; or, at least, brought them on a level with their Christian masters. A spirit of this kind might have soon led to confusion and insubordination, and brought scandals into the Church. It was therefore a very proper subject for the apostle to interfere in; and to his authority, the persons concerned would doubtless respectfully bow.

Matthew Henry Commentary

Verses 17-24 - The rules of Christianity reach every condition; and in every state man may
live so as to be a credit to it. It is the duty of ever Christian to be content with his lot, and to conduct himself in his rank and place as becomes a Christian. Our comfort and happiness depen on what we are to Christ, not what we are in the world. No man shoul think to make his faith or religion, an argument to break through an natural or civil obligations. He should quietly and contentedly abid in the condition in which he is placed by Divine Providence.

Robertson's NT Word Studies

7:24 {With
God} (para qewi). There is comfort in that. Even a slave can have God at his side by remaining at God's side.
