el cual daba el rey y Joiada a los que hacían la obra del servicio de la Casa del SEŅOR, y tomaban canteros y oficiales que reparasen la Casa del SEŅOR, y herreros y metaleros para reparar la Casa del SEŅOR.
John Gill's Bible Commentary
Ver. 12. And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the Lord , etc.] That is, they gave it to those who were overseers of them, to pay them with it, ( 2 Kings 12:11) and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the Lord (see Kings 12:12) and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the Lord ; where it required any work of that kind.
Matthew Henry Commentary
Verses 1-14 - Joash is more zealous about the repair of the temple than Jehoiad himself. It is easier to build temples, than to be temples to God. But the repairing of places for public worship is a good work, which all should promote. And many a good work would be done that now lie undone, if active men would put it forward.
