Clarke's Bible Commentary - Exodus 27:19 Verse 19. All the vessels - shall be of brass.] It would have been improper to have used instruments made of the more precious metals about this altar, as they must have been soon worn out by the severity of the service.
Matthew Henry Commentary Verses 9-19 - The tabernacle was enclosed in a court, about sixty yards long an thirty broad, formed by curtains hung upon brazen pillars, fixed i brazen sockets. Within this enclosure the priests and Levites offere the sacrifices, and thither the Jewish people were admitted. Thes distinctions represented the difference between the visible nomina church, and the true spiritual church, which alone has access to God and communion with him.
